PERFORMANCE JUDGING CRITERIA

Basics:

· 10 Points – The “total package” - the overall band sound and cohesiveness as a unit

· 10 Points – Poise and professionalism on each instrument; full, clear notes, steady tempo start to finish.

Stage Presence:

· 10 Points – Moving around & using the full stage, interacting with other band members and acknowledging the crowd.

Creativity:

· 10 Points – Originality of band sound & look; Songs arranged to accent strengths of band and/or differ from the original song.

Material:

· 10 Points – Songs highlight the band’s strengths. Song choices work well together; cohesiveness of set list.

Professionalism:

· 5 Points – Preparation of gear and ready to begin on time - quick and smooth transitions between songs

· 5 Points – Best Original Song (if applicable)

· 5 Points – Best Overall Appearance of Band

· 5 Points – Best Crowd Reaction
